Carry This

This Wicked Tongue a rock band from Worchester England have recently released their new EP Carry This.

On the opening track Carry This, the drummer gets straight to the point of smashing the beat to show that this four piece mean serious business. With lead vocalist Christina Maynard, showing her enchanting voice throughout the whole EP, she almost seems to have a Pretty Wreck less vibe in her voice, but dare I say Christina sounds much better. It makes me wonder why a record label hasn’t snapped this band up.

The final track in this EP Creature ensures that the EP finishes in style, and to me is the highlight of all tracks. It has an almost infectious intro that followed me around all day. The last minute of this track captures you into full rock mode, where you cannot help but head bang with the dramatic switch from ultimate rock to mellow, straight back into pure and what seems effortless rock!

Each track seems to be like a present waiting to be unwrapped as you don’t know what they are going to do next, if that be a snare cracking drum solo or raging guitar riff.

With only 3 tracks the saying “quality rather than quantity” stands out in my mind as these songs are pure genius. I cannot wait to see what they have next.
